"Only the Good Die Young", Billy Joel

Come out Virginia, don't let me wait
You Catholic girls start much too late
aw But sooner or later it comes down to fate
I might as well be the one

well, They showed you a statue, told you to pray
They built you a temple and locked you away
But they never told you the price that you pay
For things that you might have done.....
Only the good die young
thats what i said
only the good die young x2

You might have heard I run with a dangerous crowd
We ain't too pretty we ain't too proud
We might be laughing a bit too loud
aw But that never hurt no one

So come on Virginia show me a sign
Send up a signal I'll throw you the line
The stained-glass curtain you're hiding behind
Never lets in the sun
Darlin' only the good die young
(woah x5 )
i tell ya
only the good die young x2

You got a nice white dress and a party on your confirmation
You got a brand new soul
mmmm, And a cross of gold
But Virginia they didn't give you quite enough information
You didn't count on me
When you were counting on your rosary
(oh woah woah)

They say there's a heaven for those who will wait
Some say it's better but I say it ain't
I'd rather laugh with the sinners than cry with the saints
the Sinners are much more fun...

you know that only the good die young
oh woah baby
i tell ya
only the good die young, X2

You say your mother told you all that I could give you was a reputation
Aww She never cared for me
But did she ever say a prayer for me? oh woah woah

Come out come out come out virgina dont let me wait,
You catholic girls start much too late
Sooner or later it comes down to fate
I might as well be the one,
You know that only the good die young

I'm telling you baby
You know that only the good die young
Only the good die young
Only the gooooooooooooooood
Only the good die young
Only the gooooooooooooooood
Only the good die young
Ooooooooooooooooooooooooo ooooooooooo oooooooooo...

(Only the good die young)x2

You may have noticed that there are many less posts going in here lately. The simple reason is that I have been using delicious for storing the majority of my links. The more day-to-day stuff. I think I will advance this blog to the really cool sites that I find leave the mass of links elsewhere.

Now this is a good find. The person who put this site together really likes the Simpson's. There are lists of Bart's chalk board opening sayings, Moe pranks, Hommer's Hmmm...'s, and others. It isn't the best looking site, but who cares, the content is fun which makes all the difference. Enjoy.

I was a little lost and didn't exactly remember what I wanted to type in the search box. Ok, I pumb forgot. So I just typed "fuck" and search 8B websites to see what I came up with. Man, I haven't so much fun in a long time. Fuck is the most versitile word in the english language. The first thing I found was "Rockin' Rickie Video" the Air Drummer. What great fun.
Try it for yourself, Air Drummer Rickie

The Air Drummer

This is a really well done thing. I laugh my ass off every time I see it. I am sure it took much practice to pull it off.

The Chicago Stadium Organ. It's mostly gone, in a fire, allegedly arson. If it is, I sure the Wertz had something to do with it. I found this site http://www.catoe.org/barton.html where many great pictures exist of that wonderful piece of workmanship.

Like anyone gives a shit about this, well I don't care, I needed the link in a central place. This like is for a Vonage account. What is Vonage you ask, well it's one of the upcomming VoIp companies to hit the circuit. Currently the charge $25 a month for unlimited everything in the United States. Pretty cool. The part I like the best, which I can't use but think is really cool, is if you have a friend anywhere in the world, and they are using Vonage (which the can with a high-speed Internet connection) the call is free, unlimited time. Now that is cool, makes me wish I had friends in Australia (Of course a place to stay when I went there too).

Regular Expressions, regEx, is a cryptic way to find patterns. As you can tell by that sentence I don't have much experience with it at all. Here is a website which has a library of built expressions, and a place to test them.

Rockford Lhotka has a great style for creating business objects using VB. Something Maureen introduced me to a few years ago. With the advent of .net Rockford has continued with his teachings and books with this new language. By popular demand he has written a book based on C# and that is where I have been concentrating most of my studying lately. Like many programmers I am trying to get this oop thing down, and down right. I understand the value of a good framework, now I need to REALLY understand how to put one together.

On lhotka.net a reference was made to this site. It contains a desktop reference to Rockford's CSLA.NET.

As some of you may know I have been studing Code Control lately as we need to get it emplimented into our shop. Well all I can say is, "What a pain in the ass." I mean there really isn't any great software apps out there for this. There are pro's and con's to each of them but none of them are totally intuitive or simple. The products still leave a lot of manual work in updates.

...Well I was just pulled away and I have know idea where I was, mentally.

I will continue on with why I am posting in this blog. I have some links to retain.

So how fast is the speed of light? Well I am sure that many of you know, or knew in the past during those oh-so-fun years in physics class. The speed of light, c, in aproximately 300,000 KM/sec. Pretty darn fast. It is really amazing to me that light from the sun takse 8 minutes to reach earth. Here is an interesting website on this subject, What is the speed of light .com . It shows the many ways that the speed of light has been measured through the years until it became so accurate it became a constent that is used to measure the length of a meter (which was a less accurate known length then the speed of light!).
